Youth & Children`s Activity Instructor

The Beacon Activity Centre is looking for people who have a heart and passion for young people, the great outdoors and for
leading adventurous activities. Our vision is to enable visitors to ‘Discover more about themselves each other and God.’

It is not essential to have had previous outdoor activity experience (although desirable), as you will be trained as an instructor
and will gain qualifications in First Aid, Indoor Climbing Assistant (ICA) and an Archery GB Instructor. As well as these
qualifications, you will be given onsite specific training in the zip wire, crate stack, bush craft, low ropes, orienteering and team
building activities and given opportunities to develop your leadership and communication skills.

You will be working and living as part of the Christian Community at Lee Abbey, Devon reporting to the Beacon Centre
Manager. There is an Occupational Requirement that our instructors are Christians who are committed to
the values, vision and promises set out on our website. The position is residential with an allowance and full board provided.

Successful applicants will require an enhanced DBS check.
