Equip Team Member

The Oakes Holiday Centre is a 36 roomed Georgian
house with 8 acres of grounds. The site lies
within 90 acres of parkland in Norton, Sheffield.

The Oakes runs residential camps all year round
for young people aged 8-18 where they can:

1) Hear the Christian message
2) Be encouraged in their faith
3) Enjoy a great holiday

None of this would be possible without fantastic
young people who love the Lord Jesus and desire to
serve Him whilst on their gap years.

Joining the Equip team is a training opportunity —
preparing you for gospel ministry now and for the
future.

The three main training aims are:

1) To equip you with the skills and experience to
share the gospel, particularly with children and
young people, through every aspect of your life.
2) To help you learn how to handle the Bible in
order to prepare for ministry at three levels:
personal, small group, and large group.
3)To encourage you to develop a servant spirit
where you genuinely desire to serve God above all
else, put the needs of others before your own, and
give 100 percent in everything you do to God’s
glory.
