Oakes Impact Team (gap year at a camp centre)

The Oakes Holiday Centre is a non-denominational Christian camp centre for 8–18
year olds, set in a Georgian manor house on the edge of Sheffield, England.

We exist to share the Christian message with children and young people through
amazing residential camps. We welcome over 2000 campers each year, faithfully
sharing the gospel on each of our 40 camps.

None of this would be possible without fantastic young people who love the Lord
Jesus and desire to serve Him whilst on their gap years.



As an Impact Team member our goals for you are to "Share Jesus, Serve Jesus and
Grow in Jesus".

On each camp you will either lead a group of campers through all aspects of the camp,
or assist behind-the-scenes with housekeeping and catering tasks. You will also
prepare and run a variety of activities, games and events. On non-camp days, we will
provide Bible teaching to help you understand and share the gospel effectively;
give training and preparation time to enable you to run the best camps possible;
and allow time to help our maintenance team look after the house and grounds.



The Oakes is a fabulous place to grow in a gap year that will make an Impact on the
